Tim Nguyen

Tim Nguyen is an Operational Research Global Talent Fellow at Open Avenues, where he works with students leading projects in operation analytics and technology management.

Tim is currently the Head of Product at Shypyard, where he works with passionate teammates to build a SaaS platform that help optimize data operation and business planning for fast-growing e-commerce entrepreneurs. Tim has 6+ years of professional experience, spanning from strategy consulting, product management, and start up. He just finished his MBA from Harvard University, and before that worked for Boston Consulting Group in Southeast Asia and a Series B education start up in Vietnam. Last year he took a gap year from MBA to build a new social commerce feature for ZaloPay, a fast growing fintech startup in Vietnam.

Tim loves playing team sports (soccer, basketball), and used to play varsity in high school. However, he was unfortunate to never have won any gold medals in his younger life despite reaching final matches a few times in high school. He's also a big movie geek who remember the most random facts about movies, directors, actors.
